This song written by Francesco Guccini, proposed by Caterina Caselli in its early years as the back beat of his single Il Cammino di ogni Speranza (the song led, with no great success at the Festival of Sanremo, in pairs with Sonny & Cher, in 1967), is inspired by the movement of Dutch "provos," a European variant of the Californian hippies, who grew utopia of a new world in which technology would be cleared, the means of production of income brought into town and the media replaced by bicycles white, given free to all. The term "provos" has probably influenced the name of art of famous Italian singer Nicoletta Strambelli, which began in the same years his important career as Patty Pravo.
The song is a peculiar hybrid, it has a plant (and singing) beat, but supported by an arrangement Rhythm & Blues, with great use of a section of saxophones.
